You ended up somewhere in your post that I didn't anticipate, which is fun. I think that the questions that are asked can be tells in every environment but it's interesting to get an impression of what's visible through your librarian lens. Anyway, it's good that you have a more diverse set of horrible things to learn about!

Your job sounds ideal: you get (or have access to) more info than the average employee. Even I can only access patient info of those in “circle of care” (which is only right), I have little knowledge of what goes on elsewhere in the org. And that’s ok too. I’m glad to have you as the gatekeeper of knowledge up there on the second floor.
