I know that the 'It was perfect' refers to everything that precedes it, not just the mustard, but I can't help but think that the Rebecca version of those last two sentences would be this:
"I got a smear of mustard on my sling bag. I went NUTS."

In years past, my inclination to the mustard might have been rage! I think this is growth. And also a reminder to finish scrubbing it off, because I can still see a faint mustard spot…
The Moncton library situation makes me so mad every time I think about it. The Moncton Public Library is a lovely space but it’s all the way downtown - from my parents’ north end house, it remains a commitment to go. There’s one in Riverview and one in Dieppe but it’s so odd! I loved having Chatham and Newcastle and Carrefour Beausoleil in Miramichi.
Love book mobiles. My mum was a volunteer at our small town library and its book mobile when I was a kid. When I first heard about a book mobile, I thought it was a movie prop. I imagined a huge book-shaped vehicle with collapsable steps and bright lights and a fireplace and comfy chairs and a dog somewhere.
