I feel like I am going to have these same emotions when we make the transition. Not an easy phase, despite the excitement of your new journey. Maybe I can borrow Mallow when I have to have my cry. Hugs.
This made me reflect on the two experiences I had when I started 2 jobs last year. I work in education so there were a lot of people I has to meet and remember the names of (students and parents/families). There were other challenges at first but things I've gotten better now that I'm 5 months into my new job
Hope you can find some exciting things to do in your new space and community!
This is a very positive move for me! Lots to do and see. But because I’ve been anticipating it for honestly most of the eight years I lived somewhere else, I’ve been finding it harder than I thought it would be to actually do it, and how do I navigate that? Thank you!
All the very best in this exciting (and scary) new phase of your life, Alison.
Thanks Terry! I managed to print something on a library printer yesterday so we’re making good progress!
Sending hugs and as always enjoy reading your stories and thank you for letting us share in reading your life stories.
Thanks Joan!
A vivid portrait of feelings at a point in time - it only gets better from there.
The barista at Starbucks spelled my name right on my cup yesterday and I successfully used a printer!
It's your oyster!
This one was so relatable it made me cry. Glad to have you at SMU 🖤
Glad to be here ❤️
Sending love, Alison! You (and the kitten!) have absolutely got this. 😽
Thanks Rebecca! I started to decorate my new office and it’ll be better soon.
YAY! 😀

It is very hard. Mallow will certainly come to your aid!
💕💕 It’s so hard when the people were (and still are) so lovely.
